With 15 years of event planning and brand marketing experience under her belt, Robin started Robin Sevrina Events on California's Monterey Bay Peninsula in 2014. Along with her family's move from Toronto to California came the opportunity to establish Robin Sevrina Events, allowing Robin to utilize her unique brand marketing and events background, as well as her exposure to hosting countless VIPs, to launch a small consulting business. Robin offers a superior uber-organized service experience, planning events for both corporate and private clients, as well as VIP management and marketing consultation. Whether in the States or overseas, on the red carpet or even standing alongside the secret service, you name it, Robin has had experience planning, managing and producing it!

Rewind to the year 2000, Robin, originally from Minnesota, had just moved to Shanghai, China after graduating from the University of Oregon with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Chinese along with a minor in Business Marketing. Robin landed in China right when American business was flooding into Asia and started as a Special Projects Coordinator for The American Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai coordinating sponsorship packages for the Chamber, selling advertising and “event planning”, which at the time was not recognized as an official career. Through a two-year online Event Management Certification course at George Washington University combined with the love of her job, Robin realized Event Management was indeed a career, and simultaneously expanded her role and her team to become the Director of Events at the Chamber and was quickly responsible for over 150 events per year, along with managing a large team of talented Chinese nationals.

During Robin’s five years at the American Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai, she managed private Chamber events for dignitaries from all over the world including former U.S. Presidents Jimmy Carter and George W. Bush, former U.S. Vice President Al Gore, and former U.S. Secretary of State Colin Powell. Additionally she produced Chamber events for the NBA, the NFL, numerous fortune 50 CEO visits to China, U.S. Consulate Generals, U.S. Ambassadors and numerous Chinese government officials. Robin and her team also produced five straight years of annual events including the American Chamber of Commerce’s Independence Day Celebration with over 2,500 attendees, the Chamber’s Annual Charity Ball benefitting Special Olympics with over 500 attendees and US$100,000 raised annually, and one of Robin's favorites, the U.S. Marine Corps Birthday Ball.

Robin met her husband in 2004 in Shanghai (of all places!), and they repatriated together from Shanghai to Austin, Texas in 2005. Robin enjoyed one year with Keller Williams Real Estate, at their Austin headquarters, as an Events Manager coordinating the Keller Williams Real Estate Annual Convention; a one week event in Las Vegas with with over 10,000 real estates agents. Another corporate relocation landed the globe trotting pair in Lima, Peru for six short months, and then in Robin’s hometown of Minneapolis, MN, where Robin started with Target Corporation in 2006.


Robin's seven year career at Target Corporation started in Corporate Meeting Planning where she was responsible for large annual meetings in both China and India, as well as numerous cross company training events, private executive committee meetings, special internal events including a trip to Prague, and a CEO retirement celebration. After two years in Meeting Planning, Robin joined the Events Marketing team and oversaw a team that produced over 50 events per year ranging from Target's charitable giving events nationwide and multicultural marketing events, to health and beauty product launches, press previews, and numerous red carpet events. Two years later, as Target prepared to expand into Canada, Robin was asked to move to Toronto, Canada and lead (but first hire!) the Canada Brand Marketing and Events team, and was one of the first expats at Target's headquarters office in Toronto. Under Robin's leadership of the Brand Marketing and Events teams, Target Canada was nominated as one of the Top Ten Marketers of the Year in Canada in 2012, as well as the #1 Event Brand in 2012.


Corporate meetings in China and India, product launches and press previews, countless A-list celebrity appearances and talent performances, a Jason Wu pop-up store in downtown Toronto, a Target Hotel takeover during the Toronto International Film Festival, Toronto and Montreal Fashion Week integrations, as well as the Canada Grand Opening multi-channel marketing campaign, are just a few of Robin's favorite projects during her time at Target. Robin moved on from Target when out of the blue came a professional opportunity that could not be passed up for Robin's husband in northern California in 2013.

Robin founded Robin Sevrina Events in 2013 and to this day continues to provide design and production services to individuals, groups, and organization who are seeking a remarkable event experience on California’s Central Coast. In 2018, Robin ventured into interior design and remodeled a unique property in Tahoe City, California. which can be rented for vacations and is a perfect spot to gather and prepare for a Lake Tahoe wedding. Robin’s passion for SERVICE love for DESIGN and dedication to TEAMWORK continues to guide Robin and her team as they provide remarkable experiences for individuals, groups, and organizations.
